![]() ![]() My opinion of the game went from "pretty good" to "trash" because of it.A prosecution forensic officer described to the International Criminal Court (ICC) how he and a colleague enhanced speech in recordings of radio communications of the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) that Ugandan security agencies intercepted more than a decade ago. And why the fuck would I care where the dev is from.?īUT a developers personal opinion in a game can sour the game for me, The Red Strings Club is the worst offender in my book. I have to disagree with Kill_All_With_Fire: I didn't mind the political banter, I thought it quite fitting for the combatants. Somewhat more strategic/tactical options than in Radio Commander but also more personal story than in Radio General. ![]() I would like an equal combination of both I think. I think it's fair to say that Radio General is more focussed on the strategy aspect, while Radio Commander concentrates on the story. In Radio General I was just never as immersed as in Radio Commander. For the first playthrough it was really cool though. I also enjoyed the scripted parts in the mission, although I think it's not good for replayability. I like Radio Commander a lot more than Radio General.įirst of all the presentation: I like the more minimalistic and (for me) more realistic style. Combat should be my plan going to pieces and me trying to fix it Give me a cool pre-combat planning phase. I construct a command and send it personal via radio OR I draw something on the map (or move a symbol) and tell my staff to communicate it. Things are communicated to me (the player) by speaking, and then me or an aide updating a map. ![]() We only get info via radio + what we knew in advance. Use historical annotations and unit markers Staff make interruptions and recommendations – make errors and take breaks. The room is more alive – people move around, messages is delivered by currier. Maps gets more cluttered and dirty during a mission. Make everything realistic about the maps – everything is added in pencil, everything is added by a virtual hand (a junior staff member) Realistic historical maps – and air photos. I want too FEEL how a officer feels commanding an operation via radio and a map. In essens, it’s a first-person tactical game. Dare to be pure an believe in your concept. If you make the map “come alive” like in Radio General – then its no longer a map used in a radio game, but a standard map in a tactical game. A fresh concept was a blod move and it worked well.ĭecide what kind of game you want. Very nice too se an attempt to do something new.
